What are some good, easy, cheap recipes?

I am a single guy who lives alone and I’m goin broke. I’m looking for some ways to cut costs by not eating take out. However, I’m not exactly Chef Ramsey and can only eat so many pbj’s ramen and spaghetti. Does anyone know any really good recipes that are great on a budget? Pasta’s, beef, chicken, pork???

Well there is always pizza. You don’t have to have pizza dough or pizza crust either. You can use toast, ritz crackers, french bread, biscuits, or even english muffins. The other ingredients are the same.

Also you can make this yummy pepper steak and rice recipe. You can eat what you can, and save the rest for later. Here is the recipe:

1 pack of frozen round steak
1 bell pepper (any color) diced
2 cups rice
6 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon oil (vegetable, olive, canola, etc)
4 tsp garlic salt
1 medium onion chopped or 1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tsp ginger
soy sauce
2 tablespoons corn starch
3 tablespoons sugar
1 large skillet
1 large saucepan (about 3/4 full of water) and lid
Directions:

Place saucepan with 3/4 full of water on stove. Heat until boiling. Meanwhile Thaw roundsteak to just barely frozen. This makes it easier to cut up. When water is boiling in saucepan, add the 2 cups of rice reduce heat, cover, and cook rice for 20 mins. Now cut the roundsteak into either small strips or small squares. Place skillet on stove and add the 1 tbsp of oil and heat oil. Fry roundsteak pieces in oil until done. Place 6 cups water into skillet. Place onion or onion powder, garlic salt, bell pepper, and ginger into skillet. Stir. Allow water/beef mixture to boil for 15 mins. Drain rice when done. After mixture in skillet is done, take the last 1/2 cup of water and mix into it the 2 tbsp of starch. Mix well and poor into the skillet. Stir. Then add the 3 tbsp of sugar. Mix well. Then add enough soy sauce to give it a rich brown color(make sure to stir after adding soy sauce little by little to ensure the mixture isn’t too dark). Place a serving of rice in a bowl. Then add enough of the mixture from skillet on top. May need to add just a little sprinkling of extra soy sauce on top. Then mix well. A wonderful version of homemade chinese food.

Well you asked for a recipe. Also yeah you could make tacos, taco salad, regular salad, hamburgers, hotdogs, soup, etc. But this recipe cost about the same as one order of chinese food, but can feed you about 3 times.
